We grew up WITH Pac and Biggie. We watched the 95 Source Awards in real time. I just happened to be in NYC the day Ether dropped on the radio and played repeatedly. We watched LL, Kool Moe Dee, KRS, MC Shan, et al. go toe to toe. We may not be as invested, but we're listening.

And speaking of rap beef? After I finished being a professor yesterday, I had a date that started with dinner/drinks and ended with listening to and dissecting all of the Kendrick and Drake tracks that have been released since March.

This is why I started tweeting about more than just work stuff. Every single 1 of us is more than our chosen profession. I can do this role + participate in things that have nothing to do w/ it. Sure, I’m a professor, but I’m a Black woman 1st. And this BW likes rap beef too!

All of the outdoor Cinco de Mayo events have been moved inside because of the weather. A high of 62 degrees and rain all day.

My parallel parking under pressure (aka Philly drivers waiting impatiently behind me) skills have become top tier. 10/10 would recommend.
