'On the one hand, Donald Trump is claiming the power to order SEAL Team Six to kill his political rivals if he is elected president.

On the other hand, Joe Biden won't give a sit-down interview to a reporter who works for the New York Times.

Therefore they are the same.' -…

The fact that NY Times people will share this but won't do a story on Trump sleeping through his criminal trial kind of gives away their whole game.

Is AG going to announce his own impeachment proceedings over this? It’s almost cruel how Joe’s doing that kid.

The sour grapes from the NYT is quite revealing.

They privilege themselves as the only 'real' media, dismissing all the outlets Biden has been speaking with.

You can seek clicks and sensation, but it does affect your credibility, and the need to speak with you.

Biden: “The free press is not speaking up as much as it used to.” He thinks some news outlets are reluctant to raise Trump's ire: “I think some of them are worried about attacking him, worried about taking him on.” mediaite.com/radio/biden-te…

Nick Confessore Axios It's a response to a political press sector more obsessed (disproportionately so) with reporting on traits and things less relevant to executive public governance outcomes — to the detriment of not putting proportionate attention on things most relevant to public governance

there are some journalists in Washington who are forceful and strong but do their jobs without drama and ego.

Kelly O'Donnell is at the top of that list.

So the NYT decides the best response to reporting regarding its grudge against President Biden is to issue a press release attacking President Biden.

Thanks for confirming the story of how you have decided to be biased against the President

This gaslighting statement by NYTimes Communications calls on President Biden to be interviewed by CNN. He has been! Here's screenshots of just some of his interviews, including his one with Jake Tapper. 1/

I told my wife about the New York Times publicly complaining because Biden won’t give them an interview, and she said it was like a high school football player announcing that a cheerleader won’t go out with him. “How embarrassing,” she said.

They don't do self-reflection. They assure themselves that all White House occupants complain about their coverage, and move on.

Taking this a step further, the NYT and the rest of the media have a completely asymmetric approach to what a gaffe means when reporting on Biden and Trump.

This statement is not true. He's been on 60 Minutes multiple times. Did a long interview recently with John Harwood. Regularly takes questions from the WH press pool.

'President Biden has so actively and effectively avoided questions from independent journalists.'

Nothing in this crisis comms statement by the NYT PR team addresses the criticisms regarding a pattern of unequally applied standards in the reporting and analysis from this newsroom.

In its headlines, social copy, story angles, photo selections, story *repetitions*, etc. etc.
