Active Aero Looked in 1969!
Debuting in 1969, the Shadow Mk I Prototype is one of the earliest examples of active aero in professional racing. The pop up aero helped its driver to slow the car from speeds in excess of 160mph, while insuring that the brakes didn’t over heat!
