After completing training with UK Parliament Education last June, today I received my official recognition. Now to keep growing student engagement year on year...
Another day in London. This time with 14 students to do a people's parliament workshop. Thank you UK Parliament Education! A brilliant day as always. Also thanks to @SarBritcliffeMP for taking time out of your schedule for us. The Hyndburn Academy #educationwithcharacter #UKPTAGold
Wonderful experience showing the students of The Hyndburn Academy the importance of House of Lords with Baroness NewLove. Its exciting to see our young people engaging with democracy. UK Parliament Education #learnwiththelords #UKPTAgold #educationwithcharacter
Cried in the bath for an hour reading the end of Caroline Day (and Snoopy)'s 'Small Acts of Kindness' such a heartwarming story of love and friendship. The characters will stay with me ❤️ Thank you Book-ish 📚 for my blind date with a book. It was perfect. book-ish.co.uk/product/small-…
Fancy an Edutwitter Community giveaway? The awesome guys at Bluecow Education have kindly donated a Brewdog Advent Calender (it’s never too early!) for one lucky Edutwitter community member! To enter, drop them a follow, like and repost! Winner will be drawn at random on Sunday!
Just finished my first Your Paper Quest book 'The Final Season' by Andrew Gillsmith. Took me a while as there was too much narrator and not enough character for me. I loved the story, but the narrative passed between characters without going back and maintaining their depth IMO.
I'm now hooked on audiobooks. Just finished The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman (I know I'm late to the party!). Even stayed up later than normal to finish. Such wonderful, funny characters, with a perfect mix of depth and mystery. Shame the next isn't included on Spotify.
Just finished Freida McFadden's 'The Boyfriend' (audiobook). Loved it. Couldn't turn it off so finished in record time. So many twists and turns it was like a roller coaster. Just when I thought I'd figured it out, another twist. Amazing. What should I listen to next?
Finished this belter earlier in the week. Another audiobook, but felt different hearing James Anderson read it to me. As an avid cricket and lancashire fan, I loved hearing about his career, especially as he came from down road from me. Shame he's a dingle, though. #ohjimmyjimmy
