Fair comment Kenan Malik. I, for one, only found out about Berlin cancellation because of Brussels event. Atrocious & dangerous assaults on right to assemble & free speech in both instances. I would disagree vehemently with some speakers at both. But they shouldn't be shut down

Free speech means nothing unless you defend it for your friends and your foes. Unsurprising and depressing that The Labour Party thinks police breaking up political meetings is a laughing matter.
