Thanks to all of you & reddit, we correctly identified the car as a Hyundai Kona 1. gen. model, which helped the police find the car / person responsible for the hit & run.
This means (1) we have someone else pay our repairs, & (2) case picked up by prosecution + consequences.

I believe it should be a federal crime to publish a scale validation paper without including the items, instructions, response options, and scoring within the manuscript. All reviewers and editors who let scale validation papers be published without these are complicit.

To authors, reviewers, editors, ghost writers and your native speaker cousin who goes over your manuscripts: Pretty please just use actual numbers in abstracts. There is no reason to say “large sample” when you can write “52” or “332” or “1241”. In fact you save 3 words.

New depression overview article covers
- 5 biological
- 1 social/environmental, and
- 0 psychological hypotheses for depression.

Really disheartening to see such one-sided “overview” of a multifaceted collection of biopsychosocial mental health problems.

Dear Twitter.

I report porn bots and Nazis. All the time. Nothing happens.

Now you've figured out how to pull my hair, in about an hour, for *hateful conduct* over a statistics joke.

Is everything OK at home?

Ruben C. Arslan James Heathers (Alfalfa Male) This is exactly what happened. Based on the code that they posted publicly, the stim files were too big and they didn't preload. They didn't show a single stim in the original study. (Insider knowledge though i am not the anonymous colleague)

I know it has become fashionable to criticize people who point out possible problems in papers based on p-values and reported stats.

Meanwhile, this researcher has now lost her PhD because this study was fraud.
