Of course I'm fascinated by how this will turn out. But imagine investing the time, effort, funding and brain power into reducing extinction risk, rather than creating facsimiles of species that have been lost.

I've just given the last class of my course 'Ecology of Species Invasions' for 2024. Over 500 students have taken the course since I began teaching it in 2003. Some were kind enough to later tell me how the course inspired them to pursue graduate degrees or careers in the field!
