Challenges facing the polling industry:
- Response rates are in the low-single digits
- Pre-election polls are trying to figure out who is going to turn out to vote, which is a difficult task
- Polling is expensive
This results in:
- Decrease in credible polls
- Influx in partisan and internal campaign polling
-Influx in 'junk' polling
- Drought in polling in battleground states or districts

2010 and 2014 - 20% of eligible young voters turned out
Dramatic increase in 2018 - 31%.
2022 - Estimated to be 27-28%
