ABI Cloud Phase RGB 11 April 2024, 15 UTC – A pronounced cold front over northern parts of Florida brought heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning to the region. The RGB is very useful for distinguishing water and ice phases of clouds and provides information on particle size.

SEVIRI HRV Fog RGB – 13 Nov, 2023, 12:00 UTC – A blanket of Alpine snow peeks out from under a cloud cover. The RGB combines the HRV and NIR1.6 channels, since the reflectivity of snow is much higher in the HRV channel, the combination can be used for snow to ice distinguishon.

SEVIRI HRV Clouds RGB – 25 October 2023, 12:00 UTC – Westerly winds and high atmospheric stability in a layer around the height of the mountain tops have led to the development of trapped lee waves to the east of the mountain ranges in the Balkans and Romania.
