Delighted to visit the Ibrahim Mazreku School in Malishevë/Mališevo & discuss with 5th graders about the EU, its presence in #Kosovo & its fundamental values.

This marks the 1st school we've visited as part of our celebrations for #EuropeDay2024 .

Glad to visit Malishevë/Mališevo today & to meet Mayor Ekrem Kastrati & his team. We discussed local governance issues, women's participation in local politics, investments in the municipality & the ongoing EU support through the Energy Efficiency Fund & the EU 4 All project.

Met with Blerim Isufaj, the Chief of the Special Prosecution Office, to discuss ongoing developments and challenges faced by this institution.

Stressing the EU's support for strengthening the rule of law in Kosovo, I emphasized the need for tangible results to mark progress.

Today, we woke up to the shocking news of yet another femicide.

#Kosovo must take urgent & decisive action to ensure:
- prevention & protection for women victims of violence.
- prompt investigations, timely adjudication of cases & effective sentencing.

The time to act is now.
