Been a busy week but I wanted to give a shout out to our 3 seniors who we celebrated at the pep rally on Friday. These girls have given so much to the program in the past four years and I know their futures are very bright!

Shout out to South Bend St. Joseph for winning the Kokomo Softball Tourney today. In the championship, the Huskies defeated Belmont 10-0 with Oklahoma Softball commit Berkley Zache throwing a perfect game with 19 strikeouts. She is only a junior and has a career 0.24 ERA. She was fun

iCRYO Canton STARK COUNTY 4 EVENT WINNER!!! Icryo Runner of the Meet!!! Amahrie was first in all four of her events (100, 200, 400, 4x200). She also set the facility and meet record in the 200 with a time of 24.68! Amahrie will receive a Month Long Cryo Pass to ICRYO.

Congratulations to Johnny Sabinski for sweeping the throwing events again, this time at the Shadyside Relays. Johnny’s discus throw of 177-11 was good enough to break the meet record!

Also in Saturday's win at Western Reserve, Norwalk senior Haley Gockstetter recorded her 500th career strikeout. The NCAA Division III Heidelberg University commit has helped the Truckers (10-4, 6-0) to within two wins of their first-ever league championship.

In a 2-game span Friday evening and Saturday morning, Norwalk junior Mya Prochnow was 9 for 11 (.818) with a double, two home runs, 4 RBI, 7 runs and had 16 total bases. That included a 6-for-6 effort Friday at Bellevue, making her unofficially 1 of 49 in OHSAA history to do so.

Well, apparently two no-hitters weren’t enough for Thea Staten this week.

Staten just threw a perfect game with nine strikeouts in Bryan’s 10-0 five-inning home win over Lima Bath.

Staten also had three RBIs, two singles and a run during a 14-hit day for Bryan (8-5).
