Michael Jäger, President, European Taxpayers Association, expressed concerns about EU competitiveness in the context of the green transition, advocating for market-driven solutions, deeper engagement with entrepreneurs, and effective communication to promote sustainable growth.

Dr Daniel Wennick Policy Director at Orgalim, underscored the competitiveness of the EU and highlighted challenges in competition against the US and China, stressing the need for stable policies, equitable taxation, and strengthened partnerships with key countries.

Dr Tudor Petru Fabian, PhD, Policy Advisor to Winkler Gyula MEP and Coordinator of the Working Group on Trade with SME Europe of the EPP Group, discussed EU competitiveness in the global arena, calling for increased cooperation and trust between sectors to navigate transitions.

The panel included multiple experts specializing #EUCompetitiveness , beginning with Dr Laurent Maurin, Head of the Economic Studies Division at the European Investment Bank. Laurent provided insights into the unexpected strength of the economic recovery about demographic changes.

Seyide Direk presented the second report by ZPP on the Underrepresentation of the CEE Region in the EU Institutions.
