In his opening remarks, Professor Husain Coovadia, Vice Dean, Income Generation and Global Engagement, University of #Johannesburg, highlighted that in embracing #AI and other #4IR #technologies, we must remain vigilant about the ethical implications that accompany them.

Ms. Kefiloe Masiteng, South Africa Resident Coordinator’s Office, emphasized on finding ways to leverage the Fourth Industrial Revolution (#4IR).

Deputy Director-General, Economic Planning & Development, Nelana Bulumko spoke about using technologies, research & becoming leaders using cutting age technology to support human life & developing partnerships working with ECASROSA to promote the #4IR with students in the lead.

Ms. Olayinka Bandele, Chief Industrialisation Section ECASROSA presented #ECA flagship projects related to #digitization, #automation & the #4IR that can be a catalyst for students in South Africa to go out in the field and #innovate.

Kenneth Moiloa, Commercialisation Specialist representing The Innovation Hub explained Policy frameworks & govt initiatives i.e using AI in digital distribution of drugs improving efficiency, local innovations on service delivery working with the govt, academia & private sector
