Ex vivo engineering of T cells for adoptive immunotherapy without pre-activation is challenging & hinders efficacy. Nanowires delivered miRNAs to primary 'naïve' mouse & human CD8 T cells w/o pre-activation to regulate fate rheostat for immune protection against deadly pathogens!
