This is what 44-years-young looks like!

Today marks 8 years that I have worked at the UofU Dept Medicine Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. Utah is now the place I have lived the longest of my 20+ years in the US (8 in UT, 7 in MA, 4 in VA, 1 in PA). Life has been quite a ride!

I am afraid to admit I have spent over $100 on #WorldCup2022 stickers! I might be more into the album than my kids are… so many childhood memories 🇧🇷⚽️🥅🏟🇧🇷

Balance of the day: -Found out I passed my 10-year board recertification -Crashed my car in the snow I found out about the exam result while waiting for the tow truck inside a complete stranger’s house who offered me shelter while waiting. Positive balance if you ask me.

I am so conflicted… while I have always been so proud of my heritage, I am soooo embarrassed of Brazil right now. I am going to fool myself this is not who we are.

At the waiting area of a hotel restaurant outside a children’s amusement park this weekend. As they got seated, one of the parents said: “put it on the shelf so it doesn’t get broken”. Teaching them early to perpetuate the problem. #gunviolence
