Long ago I worked with an older doctor who rebuked me for telling a patient 'I don't know.'
I strongly disagree.
Every patient deserves a professional who tells them the truth.
When we say we don't know, we are being humble and trustworthy.
Then we say we'll find out for them.

This whole #preauthorization issue is becoming out of control. A patient with prediabetes and hypothyroidism was notified he needed pre authorization for a fasting glucose and a TSH #nonsense
