I can’t tell you how many times patients have left without getting care they need or had things happen like overdoses from trying to self treat in hospital. Having overdose prevention centers/designated use sites in hospital is a great idea, actually, and will do a lot of good.

Time to rethink messaging around “the chocolate chip cookie effect” re: fentanyl as “hot spots” across batches are uncommon, so excited to read this paper by Substance!
