It would be great to see a Briefing Room on why we don't have more new houses David Aaronovitch: if house prices are so expensive ATM, then why is the supply/demand relationship so broken in this market?

Never Events in healthcare. Is the concept of having things called Never Events good, could be better, not good? There’s a consultation going on - finishes 5th May, so please give your voice. engage.england.nhs.uk/consultation/n… Patient Safety Learning

This is very good. It perfectly describes NHS IT as I see it (as the implementer of several IT projects and an end user) health.org.uk/publications/l…

No anaesthetist involved in my birth, though there very much should have been.

However, I hear this a lot from others. It's really notable how often bereaved and/or traumatised mums tell me the only person who gave them good care was the anaesthetist.

Interesting to see what's planned here - evening and weekend working won't do it. (Limited capacity added, no one wants to do it). My own personal feelings is a large addition of capital and non clinical spend to transform IT might get you there. hsj.co.uk/exclusive-nhse…

The difference between equity and equality. When you have a longstanding unseen advantage, it seems unfair when it goes. Applicable in lots of situations. (If only I had known life was so easy for us female Catholics πŸ˜‚)

How depressing, and how relatable πŸ˜₯ . A reality check for wellbeing initiatives that don't focus on the fundamental drivers described here.... qualitysafety.bmj.com/content/early/…

Adults born a day apart are treated differently all the time already. Lots of our laws have an age based threshold.

This remains my most recommended. Even my 15 year old says it's good, and he likes nothing we've taken him to see!!

Wes Streeting MP Pippa Crerar The evidence from current use of private sector for NHS patients is that the most vulnerable do NOT benefit (due to higher complexity/comorbidities they're less suitable for hospitals that have fewer facilities for complex patients). This is the lived reality of this policy!

I believe it says that incendiary language and confrontational debate has made the situation much worse for health professionals, researchers and of course children 😒

This is the first description of a 'recipe book' I've seen apart from the RCoA book, are there others? (And there are 2 sustainability recipes in that!)

Of course if we can, we should be responsible. But many people can't (poor mental health, poor health literacy, life circumstances, drug and alcohol problems etc). The argument below exacerbates health inequalities and leaves the most vulnerable at risk.
