Did this style with one of the ST8s at my old job on a busy on call (he was locum consultant to fill á sickness gap)

We went around reviewing patients in tandem, alternating roles, finished on time, pooled all requests (bloods, CTs etc) and went for lunch. I support this 100%

You know what I’m really exhausted by?

Having to be the face taking every complaint about how long it’s taking to get acutely unwell patients to the wards where they have access to their specialist teams. And continuing to manage said patients.

It’s so so so so tiring and sad.

The first weekend of every month the souvlaki man brings his stall to our high street and we all queue round the block

For me laser eye surgery was
- 20mins of moderate discomfort
- 2 hours of excruciating pain when the topical anaesthetic wore off (happened in the taxi ride home & I started howling like a demon)
- 3 years (&counting) of life-changing perfect vision

Best decision I ever made
