Something’s different about the Copenhagen City Hall parking lot. Can’t quite put my finger on what it is.

You’ve seen me post a lot about our poll this week. This finding stuck out at me - highest of any subgroup in the state, likely driven by budget cuts from Mayor Eric Adams NYC Public Schools. With #hunger on the rise, we need to put $$ into #schoolmeals - not cut it.

For NYC tenants who *are* now covered by good cause, here's the gist of the (not small) shift:

There used to be no recourse if your LL decided not to renew your tenancy. Now there is. And if they try to up the rent >5%+CPI, 10% max, you can challenge.

A robust voucher system would eliminate 90% of these eviction filings. They are all for non payment of rent.

Instead in New York logic we’ll hire lawyers we can’t pay, in courts that don’t have resources, so tenants will end up owing money anyway.

Meanwhile cases take years…
