A drink driver arrested by the Rural Crime Team has recently been sentenced at South Derbyshire Magistrates Court where he received a 16 month driving ban. This conviction, coupled with the driver's behaviour toward Police, led to the revocation of his firearms licence.
Over the weekend, the Rural Crime Team have been proactively patrolling Derbyshire's rural areas. Whilst out and about managed to recover a stolen generator and return to the owner within an hour of the theft. Result 👏
Rural Crime Team have arrested a suspect from Hilton, Derbyshire after a Manitou Telehandler was stolen from Ashbourne, Derbyshire and tracked to an address in the West Midlands where it was recovered by officers from the National Construction & Agriculture Theft Team

A vehicle checkpoint on the A610 Woodlinkin Bypass at Codnor to examine any passing plant or agricultural vehicles. It didn't take long to spot that this Ford Transit Flatbed wasn't quite right. Turns out it was stolen from Borrowash in October. Result 👏 National Construction & Agriculture Theft Team
This excellent result for Nottinghamshire Police came on the back of arrests made by @ruralcrimeteam and Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit officers who stopped a vehicle stolen from the West Midlands area which was passing through our county. Top Job 🤝 💪 👏

Earlier this year the Derbyshire Rural Crime Team supported Natural England in the execution of a search warrant at a development near Ashbourne, Derbyshire relating to bat habitat destruction.

This weekend the team were out with South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Police proactively patrolling our borders. Patrols are intelligence led so any information from rural communities is essential to help us focus our work and target criminality #RuralCrime
