A drone pilot has just been given a six month suspended sentence and fined £3000 for endangering a historic Second World War RAF Hurricane aircraft during a Battle of Britain memorial fly past in #Buxton . We’ll have more on this later.

Unfortunately there have been a number of people during the event who felt the need to fly drones directly over the crowd which is in breach of the law regardless of size of the drone and dangerous. Thankfully our officers were on hand and a number were located and dealt with.

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood teams across Derbyshire Dales and Derbyshire Constabulary Drone Unit are in #Ashbourne today for the Royal #Shrovetide .
