Never ceases to amaze me, we had a busy day yesterday with a large protest, community events, tourists in town and filled with 54,000 people alone. That’s like the City of Prince George paid a visit & dropped into for a day, and we love it.

Sent a picture of our officers on foot patrol in the Downtown core. DYK We've increased beat officers along Seymour St. in response to street disorder & violence. Please continue to report crimes. This helps analysts inform where resources needed the most.

We are expecting larger than normal levels of vehicle and foot traffic near Rogers Arena today. We’ll have resources in place to help with traffic flow, but also please give yourself extra time if you’re coming down.

Another 2 ‘firearm lighters’ involved in calls that significantly tie up police resources. We’ve had 808 weapons calls this year alone, 37 involved what someone thought was a gun being brandished, turns out to be a firearm lighter. Amost 1 every 3 days.

DYK: E-Comm 9-1-1 answers all 911 & Non-Emerg calls. They have an impressive track record answering 911 calls, 80%+ of all 911 calls answered within 90 seconds. Like us they sometimes get slammed & takes longer, but will get to you. Non-Emerg is improving.
