Anna* is Director of Depaul Ukraine's fund in Kharkiv. Last winter, using DEC funds, they provided support to people living in bomb shelters.

In 2024, DEC charities continue to work in the city.

Anna and her family evacuated their village in February 2022.

When they returned home, the local kindergarten was closed and there was nowhere for Anna's son to play or study.

Now, he attends classes run by Depaul's psychologists.

Thanks to support from Depaul, Jesus moved into housing. Now, he no longer needs to use the Mobil'douche but he still visits to socialise with others.

When a shell hit her home, Svitlana and her family evacuated the area.

Returning to her village, she found the loss of her home difficult to cope with. Then, she met psychologists from Depaul who were ready to support her.

Every month, a psychiatric nurse visits Depaul France's day centre, providing psychological support to those experiencing #homelessness .
