Lack of rain and tons of sunshine are getting things rather crunchy out there. No surprises with the new drought numbers. As long as we see our 'Summer pattern', we'll be ok. Let's hope we don't see a repeat performance of LAST Summer.

What a SPECTACULAR afternoon.

Lots of sunshine. Lots of heat. Inland areas will be in the 90s.

I know I'm terribly late to the party, but Season 2, Episode 7 of 'The Bear' (Forks) is quite possibly my favorite episode of any TV show ever. In a matter of 30 min, it turns an unlikable man Ebon Moss-Bachrach into a beloved character. I can't recommend it enough. #everysecondcounts

Here's something we haven't seen in almost a year. The EAST coast is showing dry conditions while our area is still looking good. Still, April and May are usually very dry so I suspect it'll get pretty crispy before the rainy season kicks in. (Hopefully we see one this year).

We almost tied a record high in Tampa on Wednesday. We hit 88 and the record was 89. We're looking about the same on Thursday. Humidity still not too bad...for now.

The heat is on. And those rain chances are pretty slim. Looks like we're in for a rather dry stretch for awhile. (And there's nothing unusual about that in April and May)

For the first time in over 6 months, we are no longer under any kind of drought or excessively dry conditions! Let's hope we can keep the rain falling during the 'rainy season' this Summer!

Showers and storms continue to move through our inland areas. Much cooler and drier air returns on Friday. Another amazing weekend on the way!
