We’re at the cinema tonight and decided to speak to an actual person to book our tickets rather than book online and pay the £4 booking fee! Whilst being asked to select our tickets, my partner actually said, “We’ll have the aisle seats as he often needs the toilet!” 🤦🏻‍♂️

Despite the terrible flooding in Stratford-upon-Anon at the moment, a much appreciated rainbow did make an appearance!

For those following the domestic drama: good news. I’ve won the argument & the Christmas tree lights stay on until the close of play on the Feast of Epiphany: 6 January. (They could stay lit until Candlenas on 2 February, but I’m not going to press the point.)

I am not happy. Someone has switched off the Christmas tree lights. Worse: they want to dismantle the wreath on the front door. I thought everyone knew the decorations remain UP until midnight on 6 JANUARY. (And if you want. keeping them up until 2 Feb, Candlemas, is okay, too).

We’re in Stratford-upon-Avon and the river has certainly burst its banks. Chatting to a local gentleman who’s lived here all his life and he said that he can’t remember anything like it.
