The Athletic One of those where heโd be welcome back. Sometimes squads and managers need a reset and this looks like crunch time for them.
David_J_Bond It must have actually been hotter and drier in 1911, or the record will refer to an earlier period. And in 1911, CO2 was apparently 'safe'. ๐ซค๐ซค๐ซค The claims of climate crisis get more ridiculous by the day. When will people start waking up to this alarmist drivel??
David_J_Bond Carol Donaldson 28th July 1911 had a max daily CET of 28.7C
That's over 2C warmer than any max daily CET for the same day in the last 20 years.
The only time a 28th July registered one over 30C was 74 years ago in 1948
That was over 4C degrees warmer than any 28th July in the last 20 years.
David_J_Bond Grandad John 5 Spot on,this 'nanny state' is a joke and always misses the real problems!
David_J_Bond except that is isn't...76 was warmer by far, and 87...who could forget 66.
They are now trying to say that just because it is not apparent doesn't mean it isn't happening...then went on to say, weather extremes are happening, like snow in February and rain in November!

David_J_Bond Pat Williams ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ More to the point, why was it so hot then?
David_J_Bond Would have been difficult anyway, no tv/radio/internet, no councils set up like today, much more rural society, half the population couldnt read and if you didn't work you didn't eat- no welfare state. So they might as well just get on with it!
David_J_Bond Back then it was called weather, now it's Climate Crises. We are all doomed.
