The Easter story always makes me think about the prevalence of resurrection narratives across sacred traditions. Last year I shared this translation from the colonial Nahuatl text Codex Chimalpopoca, describing how the human incarnation of Quetzalcoatl ended his time on earth.

So many folks misunderstand why there are many strange Xs in Spanish & Indigenous Mexican languages.

When the Spanish invaded Mesoamerica, in their language, 'x' stood for the sound 'sh.' They heard 'meh-SHEE-koh,' & spelled it phonetically: Mexico.
