I think this government's economic ideology can best be described as nationalist free-market capitalism, to make the point that supporters have been attacking international institutions like the IMF and EU, while also thinking tax cuts will attract international high-rollers.

Obviously (to anyone except this government) the extreme uncertainty of the UK economy right now is a growth killer.

“People are saying, I’m not investing in the UK economy right now - It’s scary.”

And that's before all the promised 'deregulation'.
