This week the Government changed words - when they should have changed the law.

Only the LNP will remove Labor’s detention as a last resort and make our community safer.

This morning we believed we’d had a big win for Queenslanders in removing detention as a last resort.

Sadly it’s been revealed this was not the case.

Labor has not removed detention as a last resort.

If elected in October we will remove it.

Labor has reworded their provision of detention as a last resort - we will remove it.

They’ve admitted themselves it will change nothing.

We’ve got to change the laws and that means we’ve got to change the Government.

We’ve finally seen Labor’s laws & they have misled Queenslanders.

Labor has not removed their detention as a last resort provision in the Youth Justice Act.

It has been reworded.

Make no mistake - the LNP will remove detention as a last resort if Queenslanders vote for change.

I’ll be holding an important news conference at 11.30am to address the Palaszczuk-Miles Government’s failure to remove detention as a last resort from the Youth Justice Act.

The Palaszczuk-Miles Government has refused to listen to victims and will not remove detention as a last resort.

We will.

We will deliver the laws needed to make our community safer.

Queenslanders have a clear choice at the next election.

A Government that created the Youth Crime Crisis or an LNP Government that will remove detention as a last resort.

The Palaszczuk-Miles Government has stopped listening to victims of crime who are today taking to the streets calling for action.

The LNP will remove detention as a last resort.

Today marks one year since Steven Miles handed back the keys to Wellcamp, a short term lease costing Queenslanders $220 million in a cost of living crisis.

We’ll end the waste and save you paying for Labor’s failures.

Good morning from the Rose City! 👋

A bloomin’ good time in Warwick discussing the Right Priorities for our state’s future with James Lister MP.

Caught an early gym workout before hitting the road.
