A network that was shown to have promoted lies about the 2020 election—so much so it had to pay nearly a $1 billion fine—ought not to be trusted to hold a presidential debate.

Everybody is not saying that. Let's not forget that Trump is a habitual liar who doesn't even get factchecked anymore because his lies have become non-newsworthy.

I concur. A tight format. No audience reaction. This is necessary with Trump. And if it's run by news organizations, perhaps more real-time factchecking?
