It's grey. It's damp. It's cold. But... we have chive flowers, and greenery, so all is well 💜💚

Some of the Aquilegias that have popped up in my garden this year. I'm loving the bluey purples 💜

I've been loving the blue aquilegias this year. The petals are just starting to drop now.

I recently bought this Anemone Multifida, which I'd never heard of before, and I LOVE it. It is just the prettiest little thing.

Oh thank goodness, a white aquilegia! I thought I'd lost them all. This one has popped up near a conifer and seems to be thriving 🤍

Geranium Bill Wallis - I didn't plant it here, but plants tend to put themselves where they'll be happy, so it's staying! 💜

Does anyone have tips for protecting strawberries from the birds when growing in pots? I have a strawberry patch, which I use a giant square of netting on, but this year I've also got 5 pots, so I can tell which variety is which (and decide which is tastiest!) 🍓

Green! So much green! The garden is starting to look lush at long last. The veg patch is still brown and bare (except the thousand Forget-me-nots) but I'll ignore that for now 😂

The strawberry plants have been a bit slow to get going this year, normally the plants are way bigger and leafier than this. Fingers crossed I still get lots of strawberries!

Seeds are growing (although I wish they'd hurry up - I'm so impatient!). I've been leaving them out in the day since it's been warm this week. And I've planned out my veg patch with canes - it helps my brain know what's going where 😄
