DANN© Dann, after taking one of your courses I started charging weekly with some projects. I love this method because it allows scope flexibility (vs fixed fee) and I don't waste time tracking minutes (vs hourly). Often times I ended up earning more too.

If you charge hourly, you're likely a liar.

You're going to lie to yourself or to the client at some point, if not everyday.

You're either going to round up or round down. Sometimes very drastically.

You likely tack on an hour here. An hour there.

You likely won't charge for

The faster you design, the more you charge so stop charging hourly (unless it works for you).

Hosting events as an individual is a roller coaster.

You have to rely on so many people and outside funding—making many things out of your control.

It’s fun when it works. Millions of dollars went through Epicurrence. But the foundation is so fragile.

A cheat code to making better designs is knowing how to make another new frame/art board/canvas.
