Interrupting my break from Twitter (which I thoroughly recommend, by the way) to say this. Whether or not you would have voted for PTI, the treatment of Imran Khan shames a country that we like to think of as a close Commonwealth friend.

This is such a beautiful land. Time to put Twitter aside and look up from the screen.

Lots of media angst about the fact that the Rightist bloc in Sweden's election contains the Sweden Democrats. None about the fact that the Leftist bloc contains a communist party (its youth bloc openly uses that word) which wants to scrap private property.
