Emma Doody is a Staff Midwife at Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. “To experience new parents get to know their baby is a joy. Offering to take the first photos of them as a little family. Hearing them excitedly make the phone calls to share their news. It is very special.”

An Injury Unit can treat a wide range of injuries such as broken bones, dislocations, sprains and strains, minor burns and scalds.

All units have access to x-ray and basic diagnostic services.
