Robert Kraft has suspended donations to his alma mater, Columbia University University. 'It's no longer an institution I recognize.'

Until Columbia can keep their Jewish students safe, no one should be supporting them.

In 2019, I wrote a piece for .Tablet Magazine that argued that colleges were beyond redemption and that Jews shouldn't apply anymore. Sadly, it aged very well.

Last night at Columbia, sophomore Jonathan Lederer was hit. His Israeli flag was stolen and burned. Masked keffiyeh-wearers told him and his friends 'You guys are all inbred' and 'go back to Poland.'

Outrageous that this is remotely necessary. Columbia University CU/BC Hillel sends an email informing Jewish students that they will have public safety escorting them to their Seders.

No student should live in fear on campus. The antisemitism and hate toward Jews, including threats of violence, that we are witnessing is unconscionable. Colleges and universities, along with their leadership, must do better.

This couldn’t be any clearer. Columbia University is actively preventing NYPD NEWS from doing its job.

I am horrified and disgusted with the antisemitism being spewed at and around the Columbia University campus. Hate has no place in our city, and I have instructed the NYPD to investigate any violation of law they receive a report about and will arrest anyone found to be breaking

As a current security and intelligence professional, as a former IDF intelligence officer, and as an alumni and the former head of what was once the largest pro-Israel organization at Columbia University, I disagree with the Hillel’s position here and wholeheartedly suggest that

One nuance lost in this reporting is that the rabbi who advised students to leave runs the orthodox group on campus. Hillel is a large umbrella. Many Orthodox Jews wear outward symbols - yarmulkes, skirts, etc- and are thus the first to be targeted in anti Semitic hate crimes.

It’s just a weird feeling to be embarrassed of the fact that I’m an alumni of Columbia University - which is aiding and abetting violence and intimidation of Jewish students and antisemitism.

It’s just disgusting and dangerous.

Shame on the entire god damn school.
