The 6 month rule says that we can't *change* a decision of the Council.

But this motion reaffirms a decision, and asks for further action to support it. To suggest that by calling for a ceasefire in Dec we were at the same time *ruling out* further action on Gaza is absurd.

Tomorrow, Edinburgh Greens have a motion reaffirming the Council's support for a ceasefire in Gaza, & calling on the Council to take action to show solidarity with Palestinians in Scotland, Gaza & around the world 🇵🇸

The Lord Provost has said he will not accept this motion.

Fantastic to hear - many Ayrshire residents were absolutely horrified and appalled at the thought of Prestwick Airport being complicit in supporting Israel's genocidal actions.

We hope more airports around the UK will take note and follow suit.

But this is a really serious and scary threat to Edinburgh's health and social care (and therefore to lots and lots of other things as well!).
