Bridge demolition! You might be envisioning a cartoon character with a stick of dynamite, but in fact, it’s a careful & calculated process. After removing the bridge deck on Ames Lake-Carnation Rd NE, crews remove timber piles with saws. This helps keep the wetlands below safe.

Finally, the Duvall Slough Bridge is officially OPEN! Wheel ruts and bumps are now gone, replaced with a new, smooth layer of concrete bridge deck. The project extends the life of the bridge on this vital corridor.
