Trump’s favoured Ukraine ‘peace’ deal apparently involves ceding Crimea and the Donbas to Moscow. This would be a triumph for Putin and disastrous for European security. Within 5 years Russia would have regrouped and rearmed and we, NATO, would find ourselves at war with them.

It is ironic & tragic that NATO celebrates 75 years of success while standing on the sidelines of the war it was created to fight — a Kremlin land invasion of a European democracy. To uphold Euro-Atlantic stability,
NATO allies need to commit fully to victory in Ukraine.

Russia is trying to make Kharkiv unliveable ... its people are too strong for that. NATO should be pouring air defence and long range strike weapons into Ukraine and upping our own production fast 👇🏽🇬🇧🇺🇦

And according to CBS, the mastermind of the Havana Syndrome op is Russian Security Council deputy head, Averyanov. He even recruited his own son into the operation. Averyanov also ran the Skripal op in Salisbury and likely Prigozhin’s plane crash. One fine day justice awaits him.

CBS’s report that Russia’s GRU military intelligence is likely responsible for US officials suffering from ‘Havana Syndrome’ is great work and highly significant. It suggests Putin’s thugs have been waging war on us since 2014. If true, a suitably strong response is now required.

The main point about the Moscow terrorist attack is that it shows the complete incompetence of the FSB. If they had spent less time amassing corrupt wealth and more combatting the real threat to Russia, Islamic extremism not Ukraine, 137 of their compatriots would still be alive.

The hypocrisy and hubris of Senator Lindsey Graham know no bounds. When a protege of John McCain, Graham was a strong Russia hawk. Now he’s trying to gruntle Trump/MAGA, Graham voted against aid to Kyiv but still showed up there telling Zelensky how to run the war. Breathtaking.

The House GOP leadership (plus Trump) 's stunning failure to aid Ukraine-right now- is a moral, ethical, and national security disaster of epic proportions for the US. If this keeps up, it will take decades before anyone trusts the US again.

The International Olympic Committee have allowed russian athletes to participate in the summer 2024 Olympics. The extent of Thomas Bach’s moral bankruptcy is staggering. While Ukrainian athletes are killed by russians, russian athletes are rewarded by IOC.

Pope Francis has apparently congratulated Putin on his ‘election’ victory. When did the Catholic Church become apologists for indicted war criminals waging aggressive war, joining the likes of Kim Jong-un, Xi and Khamenei? It’s high time decent Catholics spoke out against this.

Yes. Also a good time to seize over $300 billion in the Russian criminal state's assets and use them to aid Ukraine. Russia is attacking the West but relies on it to keep its money, just like Putin's cronies keep their looted wealth and families in the same West they wage war on.

All my thoughts today are with Aleksei Naval’niy’s widow, Yulia and his wider family. They are so brave. A very sad day but the dream Aleksei had of a civilised Russia without Putin must not die.The large turnout of courageous mourners on the streets of Moscow suggests it won’t.

Finally, we must consider making it illegal for any Western company to do business in Russia, for as long as this war lasts. If we shy away from preparing such tough measures, Putin will be able to regroup and re-arm, with Moldova, Georgia and the Baltics in his gunsights next.

Western governments should also be threatening and willing to impose secondary sanctions on businesses in India and Turkey that are importing huge volumes of cheap Russian oil, refining and selling it at increased profits on the world market, thus keeping Putin’s economy afloat.

With Putin emboldened and deepening his autocracy and brutal war in Ukraine, it’s time for the West to tighten economic sanctions. Our governments should designate Kremlin orgs like the Deposit Insurance Agency, which pursues Russians’ assets in foreign courts to fund the war.

Acting like Putin's first move on NATO will be tanks across the border is a strawman. His war on NATO started long ago and his tactics haven't changed. Weaponize the liberties of the free world against it using the media, political corruption, election interference, refugees.
