Back of my Polling Card for local elections. For 1st time, photo ID is required. Card gives many options for elderly or those with disability. None, NONE, for younger or student voters. The policy is simply biased against younger voters, designed to suppress their vote.

Armando Iannucci My son (22) is unable to vote due to not having photo ID. He doesn't drink or drive and hasn't ever been abroad so he's never had the need for photo ID.

Andy Burton UK Freedom Campaign Armando Iannucci Yes. But many won’t bother, won’t know, will assume student id card is fine. Anything that makes voting harder is voter suppression. Cynical and corrupt.

Adrian Corbett Andy Burton UK Freedom Campaign Armando Iannucci Ok. Get your point, but folk assuming they have id is a valid point. The last elections proved it when many were turned away. It’s not my assumption, it will be the people voting.

Suppressing voting is not an assumption, it is a deliberate policy.
