In a game where the ball hasn’t been carrying very well, Elly De La Cruz didn’t leave any doubt with that homer.

He singled earlier on a nice simple swing. He’s combining that approach with his power. This stretch is as good as he’s looked at the plate in a whole.

Jake Fraley, Will Benson and Spencer Steer have all made plays this year where they showed improvement from 2023 with their outfield defense.

The infield defense is a work in progress, but the Reds are seeing progress in the outfield.

The Reds only got one run out of it, but they had a very productive first turn through the order as they saw 39 pitches from Chris Flexen.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand just made one of the tougher catches you'll see down the first base line. Basically lying down on the tarp, CES tracked the ball into the first row of the seats.

In his last start, Hunter Greene had one of the most efficient strike throwing starts of his career. Today, the Brewers already have a 5-0 lead in the second inning on 41 pitches from Hunter Greene (26 strikes, 15 balls).

Christian Yelich is up to 7 RBI for the Brewers in this series. Hunter Greene left a slider over the middle of the plate, and Yelich homered to right field.
