It has been a busy day for the Challney Girls DofE students learning new skills for the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award! Now they are settled in for the night before their Practice Day 2. Amazing sunset shot by trudie squires 🤩

Over a year ago, we approached the wonderful Tom Sherrington with an idea, a year on & 100 leaders, who otherwise may not have accessed such a programme, have now been trained. We have learnt so much from it & our mission to make a mark on the Ed landscape continues. Thank you Tom!

A very successful start to the skills weekend ⛺️
The girls have learnt map reading skills, route planning, tent pitching, basic first aid, meal planning and how to use a trangia!
