Ok so the jury is coming back into the courtroom. David Pecker has resumed his place in the witness stand.

Pecker has known Trump since the '80s. He identifies Trump for the record.

He had been friends with Trump for years. He said Trump would introduce him to other executives in NY and he would invite Pecker to parties and such. After he acquired the Enquirer, Trump called him to congratulate him and said 'You bought a great magazine!'

'The Apprentice': Pecker and Trump constantly talked about the show and Trump sent him the content and showed ratings so Pecker would publish it in the Enquirer and other mags.

After the launch of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' their relationship grew stronger and Pecker thinks it helped Trump's national presence and it helped Pecker b/c it helped his magazines.

Pecker would call Trump: 'Donald'. They spoke monthly or quarterly or if there was something percolating in the national news. He would see Trump once a month or once or twice a quarter.

They spoke over the phone every couple of weeks. Pecker called Trump's office and speak to his assistant who would transfer the call or Trump called Pecker at the office. Infrequently they spoke via cells.

Rhona Graf was Trump's assistant. Keith Schiller was Trump's bodyguard. Trump called Pecker via Schiller's phone one time. Schiller would pass along to Pecker messages from Trump.

Pecker on Trump as a businessman: 'Very knowledgeable. Very detailed-oriented. Almost a micro-manager. He looked at all aspects of the issue.'

Pecker on Trump's approach to money: 'Very cautious and very frugal.'
