The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a new photograph of Prince Louis to mark his 6th birthday and thank the public for their well wishes.

The unedited photo was taken by The Princess in the last few days in Windsor.

The youngest child of The Prince and Princess of Wales, and fourth in line to the throne, was last seen in public on Christmas Day.

The Prince is expected to celebrate privately with his family.

The Queen has paid her first visit to The Royal Lancers in North Yorkshire, since becoming their Colonel-in-Chief.

The Lancers lie close to Her Majesty's heart as her father, Major Bruce Shand, served in the Regiment during the Second World War.

Prince William has returned to public duties for the first time in 3 and a half weeks.

He visited a charity called 'Surplus to Supper', and helped cook, package, and then deliver food to those in need.

The Prince of Wales has helped to process and pack leftover food for Surplus to Supper, a charity in Surrey that redistributes food to communities in need. Protecting the environment is one of Prince William’s key priorities, and reducing food waste is a big part of that.
