At this point you can’t fault anyone from concluding that the president of Ghana wasn’t entirely honest in his summary of what KPMG found in the audit of the illegal SML contract. The actual findings might have been so bad that the president is scared to publish the full report

This is ToR the prez communicated publicly on KPMG’s task. It was purely an audit. At what point did it turn into something else (including deliberations) to the extent that the presidency doesn’t want to release the full report? Does the prez really care about transparency?

If your internal polls are giving you this level of confidence, you should immediately stop paying the polling firm and donate that money to charity Dennis Edward Aboagye

It has been a tiresome & frankly frustrating few years of trying to hold Ghana's Electoral Commission to account! But IMANI is not giving up yet. It has enlisted a body that has the powers to tackle the EC's impunity. Public accountability is a marathon!

If the reason SML got the downstream contract was because of how well it performed the transaction audit but we are cancelling the transaction audit contract due to performance issues, then why does it make any sense to let them continue to do downstream revenue assurance?

SML said it performed the transaction audit so well that it got awarded the downstream petroleum contract. KPMG’s audit said it performed partially. GRA has cancelled the transaction audit contract based on KPMG’s report. BUT somehow, SML still gets to do the downstream work.

Such a disappointing position on the issue. If there’s nothing to hide and the prez is truly committed to transparency, what’s stopping him from publishing the full report? This company is gonna get more taxpayer money even though debate on their value addition is unsettled

As of yday, the YTD depreciation of the cedi against the $ on the interbank market was 11.4%. It's higher on the retail market. This slump in the value of the cedi is bad for our inflation outlook. And we are not even paying most of our external debts. Who's gonna arrest it now?

Alfred Correct. The Margin of Error is a symmetrical band around each point estimate. So, it cannot be selectively applied to 'close a gap' between a prediction and the actual outcome. This is elementary statistics, but I guess political math is different.
