Both will have the opportunity to move the market significantly, so traders will be cautious to make sizable decisions before then.

There’s an inverse relationship b/w spreads & stocks!

If things are good: spreads fall + stocks rise
If things are bad: spreads rise + stocks fall

Look at this chart:

🟢 S&P 500

Magnitudes are different, but the direction is the same.
