Wildfires produce a range of harmful air pollutants, from cancer-causing substances to tiny particles that can aggravate existing health problems and increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Smoke particles can be small enough to get deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.

Air Quality Awareness Week is May 6-10 and highlights resources that increase air quality awareness and encourages people to take action by incorporating air quality knowledge into their daily lives. Each day we will feature an important air quality topic with info and resources.
