Year 4 have been investigating pitch in science. What a fun lesson we have had creating music!

Year 5 had an incredible day in Chester at the Grosvenor Museum and the Roman Amphitheatre - we got to become archaeologists and Roman soldiers all in one day! We learnt about Roman armour and what life would have been like in Chester in 76AD. What an experience!

Year 5 had a great visit to Birkenhead Library today, where they got to pick their library books for this half term. They made some excellent choices, like some graphic novels, Roald Dahl classics and some great non-fiction books!

Year 3 have been working hard in music to learn a new song which links beautifully to our history topic! 🎼🎶

Reception have had fun this week, learning all about how to look after our planet and we celebrated #EarthDay2024 on Monday. They made their own Earth Day crowns and have been careful to recycle and save electricity all week!

Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed Earth Day. We have designed our own sustainable outfits to combat fast fashion and the impacts this has on the environment.

Year 1 celebrated #EarthDay2024 by making pledges to help protect our planet. We also looked at the type of materials we can put into the recycle bins. We thought about or schools Eco-Schools England code 'Small actions make a big difference. Make everyday Earth day!' 🌎 #plasticpollution

Year 1 made good use of the better weather this morning and enjoyed our PE lesson outside. We practiced our throwing skills and tried to strike the ball with a bat.

Year 6 having a chilled last day of term making Easter cards and watching a film with some tasty snacks..

Year 4 have loved swapping their book at the library. We really enjoy relaxing whilst reading a good book in the library. #readingforpleasure

Year 4 love visiting the library every half term! We can't wait to dive in to our next reading books.

What a fantastic day we've had celebrating #WorldBookDay We talked about our characters and books that we brought in and then completed book reviews. We even used these reviews to help us recommended a book to a friend.

Year 4 loved putting our states of matter learning from science into a practical activity. We made Easter cupcakes by melting the chocolate and then solidifying this in the fridge.

What's on this week at Christ Church. Your attention is drawn to the arrangements for our Easter Service, and school closing at 2pm on Thursday for the Easter break.

This week in music Year 1 worked together to compose a score for a piece of music. We used a range of percussion instruments and performed the piece together. 🎼🎹🪇🥁
