All of this because I reported finding a rare and interesting hoverfly at one of OUR reserves. Any other entomologists experienced anything like this? Are some wildlife trusts scared of high quality data provided by 3rd parties? The Wildlife Trusts

I've been a member of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust for 34 yrs, often working closely with it professionally & an an amateur recorder to support it, generating much reserve data. Just been told I need permission to continue insect recording (I already had it) & must fill out RA paperwork for EACH visit.

A highlight of our #Hawaii tour was some great views of excellent Hawaiian Petrels, an endangered species that can be hard to see well. This one appears to be very fresh and may be a recently fledged juvenile? Any thoughts? #BirdsSeenIn2024 Birdquest #Seabirds Canon UK and Ireland
