Coffey is lying. Tories fought tooth & nail in a failed bid to block the creation of the NHS in 1946-1948. Every lie, smear & falsehood was deployed, as were highly paid lawyers. Doctors were incited to protest. This bitter hatred has never gone away, they just cover it up now.😑
